I passed the exam earlier with a score of 860+.
I studied all the mcqs including the DND, simlets and all the labs stated in digitaltut.
I only encountered 2 or 3 seemed new questions but the rest were all found in the digitaltut.
Just go over all the mcqs, DnD, simlets and labs 5 to 6x and you’ll pass, just what I did.
EIGRP, IPV6 OSPF, EIGRP eval sim, 11 DnDs, and the rest were MCQs.
    Goodluck.

@erman yes you are right C is correct.

Which EIGRP packets use unreliable delivery? (Choose two)
    A. Query
    B. Reply
    C. Request
    D. Hello
    E. Update
    Answer: C D

any idea on this? As to my knowlegde EIGRP does not have request packet?

  7. Silly
    December 19th, 2019

    Packet Formats
    EIGRP uses five packet types:

    Hello/Acks

    Updates

    Queries

    Replies

    Requests

As stated earlier, hellos are multicast for neighbor discovery/recovery. They do not require acknowledgment. A hello with no data is also used as an acknowledgment (ack). Acks are always sent using a unicast address and contain a non-zero acknowledgment number.

Updates are used to convey reachability of destinations. When a new neighbor is discovered, update packets are sent so the neighbor can build up its topology table. In this case, update packets are unicast. In other cases, such as a link cost change, updates are multicast. Updates are always transmitted reliably.

Queries and replies are sent when destinations go into Active state. Queries are always multicast unless they are sent in response to a received query. In this case, it is unicast back to the successor that originated the query. Replies are always sent in response to queries to indicate to the originator that it does not need to go into Active state because it has feasible successors. Replies are unicast to the originator of the query. Both queries and replies are transmitted reliably.

Request packets are used to get specific information from one or more neighbors. Request packets are used in route server applications. They can be multicast or unicast. Requests are transmitted unreliably.

What does the command clear ipv6 ospf process accomplish?
    A. The OSPF adjacencies are cleared and initiated again.
    B. The route table is cleared. Then the OSPF neighbors are reformed.
    C. The shortest path first (SPF) algorithm is performed on the LSA database.
    D. The OSPF database is repopulated. Then the shortest path first (SPF) algorithm is performed.
    Correct Answer: D

I believe answer A. any suggestions?

    December 19th, 2019

    Hello 300-101
The objectives of this is to do the SPF recalculation from the neighbour to the affected router.
In the case that R1 and R2 are neighbours. R1 issued the command to clear ipv6 ospf process this router will indeed drop the neighbour adj and re-initiate immediately.
in R2 spf is being recalculate to find the best path to R1.

Hence answer D is correct as that is the reason for you to refresh the neighbor relationship

I have just tested it on my lab with the debug enable.

    Thanks for the reply

you executed the command on the R1, so you may have to consider the reaction of R1,not R2.
In your debug output R1 brings down neighbor relation with R2 hence I suspect A is correct.

    thanks for the reply

command refreshes the OSPF adjacencies not only a neighborship.
I hope you aware of the difference between neighbor and adjacency in OSPF.
which means neighborship is brought down and initiated and LSDB will be updated SPF runs again because of the changes in the type 1,2 LSA.

so answer A included all these process, isn’t?

    Hi Erman,

What happens when a router receives a packet with a TTL of 0?
    A. The router attempts to forward the packet along an alternate path in the route table
    B. The router sends an ICMP Time Exceeded Message to the host that sent the packet
    C. The router sends an ICMP Destination Unreachable Message to the host that sent the packet D. The router flags the packet and forwards it to the next hop
    Answer: B

There was a question about redistribution where you are asked what routes are redistributed when us used some of the redistribute options like- bgp redistribute-internal/ This seem to do with what is redistributed into ospf from bgp whith the internal option. I haven’t seen/ used this option before so was unsure so had to take an educated guess as other options also looked ok. Know your bgp private and public ranges. I believe that i got 2 bgp related question. was hoping for more :)

Which two statements about configuring OSPFv3 are true? (Choose two)
    A. The OSPFv3 routing process must be explicitly configured and enabled
    B. You can configure only one OSPFv3 instance per link
    C. OSPFv3 requires network statements for IPv6 prefixes
    D. OSPFv3 neighbors must be explicitly identified on NBMA interfaces
    E. OSPFv3 interfaces must be explicitly configured and enabled

Three questions I hadn’t seen anywhere:

one of them had to do with ntp authentication/trusted key, like a which one of these statements is true type question.

Another question had to do with DHCP and when the secondary interface is used.

Another one was like, which would you use to summarize routes for OSPF when there is a different autonomous number or something along those lines, and the answers were like, use the area command, or use the summary command, and paired with each of those was ABR or ASBR router.

EIGRP eval sim, ipv6 virtual link sim, and ospf sim.

By the end of the exam I thought I had a close to perfect score but nope. Just barely got over a 700. The best way to describe the experience was this: Think of if you walked in the testing place, and they let you use the dumps on the test, and you start taking the test and you literally find 90% of the questions/answers in the dumps in your hand. When you end the exam, you’re sure you passed, except you failed because the answers in the dump aren’t all correct lol. That’s what happened.

The CCNP switch on the right bottom of this page takes me to the another website.
Is it the digitaltut’s another website?

    Erman,

This isn’t CCNA, nor is this CCNP Switch. 90% of questions I had that were from the dumps, I answered them exactly as the dumps answered them. One of my lab sims I messed up on, but even with that and missing 4-5 of the new questions, there’s no way I could’ve made such a low score if the dumps were as valid as you think. I’m not saying the people who passed are lieing, I’m just saying the 90% of dump questions I had on *my* exam, I answered them exactly as they were in the dumps, and still failed by a lot. I answered the 2/3 of my sims flawlessly.

I’ve taken the exam twice so far, and actually experienced this exam. You haven’t, or atleast that’s how it seems. Considering most of the questions were from the dumps/site, that’s an okay thing, but it doesn’t change the fact that even if I answered them exactly as the dumps answered them, I did not pass.

At the end of the day, it’s my responsibility to check the answers of the dump before relying on them, but I’m doing that this time. I tried relying on the answers from the dumps, but I have to second guess that now.

Again, it’s not about x many people who say they’ve passed. I’m sure most of them are telling the truth, but tons of posters here say they passed and follow it up with a link to get your information. Doesn’t mean their telling the truth..

You can believe what I say or not lol. I did ccna in two weeks with 9tut. I’ve failed this one twice, and on this second round, most of the questions were from the dump, but I still failed. Do with this information what you will. I have nothing to gain from lieing about it lol

@Mr iBrainDump maybe next time you fail the first time instead of memorizing just the answers the second time maybe try to learn the real answers the first time around and not just memorize it…and if this sounds like im trying to belittle you……..its because i am. I dont think you are a real network guy i think you are a fraud from the way you sound. Obviously your name doesnt help either…

@Mr iBrainDump PT.2 and idc if you say anything or respond to this or not i just felt like telling you that.

    1. Try and change the tone you type in, it’s easy to tell who you are lol.

    2. Already acknowledged that it’s my responsibility to verify the dump answers before memorizing lol. And I don’t think you know what the word “study” means.. I clearly studied. It’s just when the dump answer’s aren’t all correct, the studying doesn’t really pay off.

    3. I’m not a network guy lol. I do a small amount of networking on a daily basis yet I get paid more than most network admins who are starting out lol. I’m not doing this for a networking job, I’m doing this just to be able to say I have the cert.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but it means little when I already acknowledged the flaw in my post before yours.
