    September 23rd, 2019

Failed Because of eigrp ospf red simas I was not able to ping from R1 to r4.
I am sure i got both the redistribution commands on R2 and R3 still wasn’t able to ping. I should still be able to ping after redistribution regardless of the distance command right?
Anyone who sat exam and got this right? Did you change anything else?
As Ahmed I came across 10 new questions.
    Show up sla stats
    Show netflow stats
Feels frustrating after failing just by few points.

Hi please could someone help me with the below question please and explain. There seems to be a different view on the correct answer.

    Question 2
Which of the following statements is true about the serial links that terminate in R3?

    A. The R1-R3 link needs the neighbor command for the adjacency to stay up
    B. The R2-R3 link OSPF timer values are 30, 120, 120
    C. The R1-R3 link OSPF timer values should be 10,40,40
    D. R3 is responsible for flooding LSUs to all the routers on the network.

show ip ospf interface serial 1/0 or 0/0 < both display non broadcast

anyone who has taken exam recently. Can you pl confirm if you were able to ping from R1-R4? inregards to OSPF EIGRP Redistribution sim.
Also, in regards to OSPF Eval Sim, as Mylo p is suggesting
    Question 2
Which of the following statements is true about the serial links that terminate in R3?

    A. The R1-R3 link needs the neighbor command for the adjacency to stay up
    B. The R2-R3 link OSPF timer values are 30, 120, 120
    C. The R1-R3 link OSPF timer values should be 10,40,40
    D. R3 is responsible for flooding LSUs to all the routers on the network.

show ip ospf interface serial 1/0 or 0/0 < both display non broadcast and both the neighbor counts are showing 1 which means the adjecency is already up. Won't that make D correct?
This is what i could see during the exam too.
Yes, I agree about 85% of the questions were from the july pdf. but you need to nail them all to pass.

@Route – quest – i never ping and test. I only ping from PBR sim ….
you can see my state of mind i didn’t even read the question properly. I’m not sure if you get additional marks if you ping and test.
May be thats why i got less marks …
end of the day I’m happy i pass

I guess you only think about all this when you fail eh…
so did you configure anything else apart from
redistributing routes from eigrp and ospf vice versa on both R2 and R3.
add the distance command on R2.
    Am i missing anything?

  26. route-quest
    September 24th, 2019

    @Ahmed
Did you try pinging from R1 to R4 for ospf eigrp red sim? because the question mentions you should be able to ping from R1 to the loopback interface of R4

  30. route-quest
    September 24th, 2019

@Ahmed. Thanks. I guess the only thing i didnt do was add the distance command since the pings didn’t work :(
Did you notice that the R1-R2 was fastethernet unlike serial here on Digital tut sim.
    Would that make any difference?

  31. @Colts
    September 24th, 2019

@Ahmed – on re-take 300-101 – Did you get the same Labs and Sim again?

  32. Max
    September 24th, 2019

Did the exam monday for the second time and i failed again. A lot of multiple choice questions were not from this site.

The redis EIGRP/OSPF question was on there and i’m not sure if i could ping R1 from R4 but i did a trace route as you had to choose the path with the greatest bandwidth and that worked. You only had to change the distance on the R2 router.

All other labs en evaluations were from this site

In the OSPF evaluation you have to check the timers on the links, one link is a broadcast link with 10 – 40 – 40 timers, the other link is NONBROADCAST with te the 30 120 120 timers so it needs the neighbors explicitly mention in the config to have a adjacency to stay up.

The first exam i failed because the OSPF/EIGRP redis sim wasn’t working, in the topology it had no terminals connected and i wasnt able to get into the routers. Anyone else had this issue.

The second exam was more difficult than the first one so study hard and pass that first exam!!!

  33. Max
    September 24th, 2019

@toute0quest; yes it was the same as case 2 from this site so traffic should run via R3

  34. toni
    September 24th, 2019

    @Max,

How many new questions were there in the exam? How are you sure you failed the first time just because of the sim?

  35. Ahmed
    September 24th, 2019

    @Colts – yes
@route-quest – you should put distance command this time as it always fastethernet b/w R2-R3
@Max sorry to hear but many people are failing my friend also failed , i also failed on first attempt.
@Toni- there were 55 questions in my exam.

can any one tell me what is the answer of this question came in my exam

what message eigrp router receive on stub interface on EIGRP queries. ???
    the options i remember were

    unavailable
    reject
    stub-only
    and 2 more

    any senior engineer here.

Cisco is using very hard English even to understand what they are asking.

anyone believe if there is an error on their exam do report with justification you may get chance to retake for free.

I did my one for tshoot exam but there was a bug so i did retaken for free

    PBR / EIGRP-OSPF red-SIM – / OSPF EVAL

  40. Max
    September 24th, 2019

@Anonymous, why are you repeating my previous post?

@Toni, i think around 10, the one Ahmed just mentioned about the stub router was also on it. I failed the first one as i did not do the complete EIGRP/OSPF redis lab and i still had 739 point. The lab is around 100 point so i would have passed if it worked. Case is with Pearson Vue.

    Correct Answer: F
    courtesy from cisco

When using the EIGRP stub routing feature, you need to configure the distribution and remote devices to use EIGRP and configure only the remote device as a stub. Only specified routes are propagated from the remote (stub) device. The stub device responds to all queries for summaries, connected routes, redistributed static routes, external routes, and internal routes with the message “inaccessible.” A device that is configured as a stub will send a special peer information packet to all neighboring devices to report its status as a stub device.
