With PCA and PCB and there are dthree routers between them and a different MTU value and they want a PCA to run an application with PCB and DF is set so we have to choose?

The dumps say that is MSS but when you read the theory says that between endpoint you use PMTUD, I have my doubts

Failed today 7XX, just short of a pass, but not sure how I failed as I’d seen almost all of the multi choice questions before.

3 labs were PBR, Evaluate OSPF, OSPF-EIGRP redistribution. The one thing I noticed was I couldn’t save any of the labs with either ‘write mem’ or ‘copy running-config startup-config’, has anyone else noticed this? Does this need to be done?

Also on the redist lab I stupidly put the ‘eigrp 100 metric-type 1 subnets’ command as ‘eigrp 100 subnets metric-type 1’ – and then couldn’t take it out to change it. I’m not sure if that meant I completely failed that lab?

3 or 4 drag and drops – ACL (dynamic, timebased, etc), VPN (mGre, ipsec, keepalive), TACACs (router, server, user)

Quite a lot of GRE, EasyVPN and OSPFv3 which I think is where I’d have lost marks too.

@Samuel- Did you study from July dump?
Its been mentioned on FAQ’s of this website that the write or copy running-config don’t work on the labs anymore.

Yeah July dump and premium membership.
I covered every question in the July dump all 443 pages and most of the premium member sections and honestly all the exam was from there, except about 2-3 similarly worded questions I hadn’t seen. I think screwing up a lab, even just 1 line, definitely makes it near impossible to pass.

Also, need to know the content, lot of GRE and IPv6 questions, which I’m not that confident with.

Regarding the lab, are you saying the lab allows you to enter “incorrect” command?? Because in real life, the router CLI would error when a configuration command is entered incorrectly.

Another thing I have been meaning to ask, does the lab’s CLI allows you to type “?” to get a list of available commands???

The ‘?’ does work in the exams yes. and so does tab, I used it a lot.

What I’m saying is the exam lab allowed me to enter the below:

R2(config)# router ospf 1
R2(config-router)# redistribute eigrp 100 metric-type 1 subnets
R3(config)#exit
!
R3(config)#router ospf 1
R3(config-router)#redistribute eigrp 100 subnets metric-type 1
R3(config)#exit

So the position of the ‘subnets’ option were different on each router.
But I couldn’t do a ‘no’ form of the command to take it off and put the correct one on.

I’m guessing this meant a fail for the lab, as the rest of the config was correct.

@innu sorry to hear it, very unlucky. How did you find it and where do you think you went wrong?

I was convinced I’d passed so I got the fright of my life when the score came up on the screen.

@Samuel I went wrong with the metric of EIGRP on the redis lab, instead of using load=1 I put load=255.. the ping worked well but the command “distance eigrp 90 105” didnt do, as I did trace and the path wasnt the expected, perhaps the load did that. Also couldn’t save any of the labs with ‘copy running-config startup-config’, but I think that´s not a mistake but the platform doesnt let you.
Also a few questions were new, and with my nervs also did wrong some Questions that I had already practiced.
The drags and drops also were a surprise (Nat64 vs NPT6 and Frame Relay). i was really close, I think i will take another shot, will you?

Just curious about the positioning of word “subnets” on the redstribute eigrp into ospf commands.
I just simulated the commands on Gns3 and it allowed me to enter both ways as you said.
Do you think that should affect the output of the sim though? 🤔

I have premium and 5 days left to exam. I did read and do all the tests on here. Do i focus on MPQ and new updated 5 and 6 quizes or do all the old ones also?

I just did my CCNP route exam past week
-All the questions are from here and i am pretty I nailed them all
– I had three sims pbr and ospf sim and redistribute

Answered all of them correctly
But here is the surprising results i only got 802
Now i am studying for the switch exam and really doubting what i did wrong on the route exam
The only thing i didn’t save the configuration on the labs ( didn’t do copy running-config startup-config or write memory)
Is that the problem
Please help

Believe me i am not trying to get a higher score or mad about it
I just want to make sure that i can pass the next two exams

@Confused -Based on the weight-age on your score sheet, under what section have you lost your marks ? so that might help us to identify the sections.

*Courtesy-FAQ on this website*- You don’t lose marks if you haven’t saved your config.

13. I don’t want to lose points so should I use the “copy running-config startup-config” after finishing each lab-sim?

In the ROUTE exam, we can’t use that command so surely you will not lose any points if not using that command.

What verification did you do on the labs? Strange to have only just scraped through when you’re convinced you got everything right, it’s a bit worrying. I failed route the first time and need to resit, was sure I’d done enough to pass, not sure what I need to do to ensure I pass next time.

I agree that the command “copy running-config startup config” dont work on lab but it surely don’t affect the final score

In IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim, I tried in GNS3 but the result after show ipv6 route on R1 didn’t include R4 Loopback.

Do we need to include below command in real exam:

R4(config)#int loopback 0
R4(config-if)#ipv6 ospf 1 area 54

R1(config)#int loopback 0
R1(config-if)#ipv6 ospf 1 area 0

Those guys that have taken the exam this week, what were the new questions that appeared on your exam?

Passed today with 901 scores.
– All questions are from MPQ, UPDATE5,6, NORMAL Q (but 90% are from MPQ, NEW5,6)
– Lab sim: redistribute with change distance eigrp, ospf evaluation with change that link between r2,r3 was not the same as this site, pbr with change ip address
– personally if you only want to pass just study 4-500 question from mpq, new5,6 because the total 850q from this site is brain hurt

– PBR change:

into
BorderRouter(config-route-map)#set ip next-hop 10.1.100.1

– OSPF Eval:
Check the serial links connected to R3. Which statements are correct?
A. The neighbor command must be used on R1-R3 link to keep the adjacency up
B. The OSPF timer values of R2-R3 link are 30, 120, 120 -> this is wrong answer
C. The OSPF timer values of R1-R3 link should be 10,40,40
D. R3 must flood LSUs to all the routers on the network.

I choosed A because i think others are all wrong. B definetly wrong because when you show on Link between R2-R3 the values are 10,40,40.

@Open and download. What do you mean by route-map lab? Eigrp case i think you refer Eigrp simulation Case.
