I am going into the exam for ROUTE in the next 30 minutes. Will share my experiences. I have only been studying materials from digitaltut and hopeful i have no choice but to pass this time. This is my third attempt!

I passed the CCNP Route 300-101 by just studying digital tut. I encounter around 3-5 new/old questions not really sure but they’re answerable.

Lab : PBR, EIGRP-OSPF Redistribution case 2, OSPF Sim.
Drag and drop: AAA, IPv6, ACLs, etc.

All/Majority of the questions are really found in Digitaltut. Good luck to all that will take this exam.

I passed the exam with 9**/1000

There were 55 questions (3 labs – OSPF Evaluation, PBR, Redistribution), 4 D&D.

Almost everything is included here, although there were also some paraphrasing, but as long as you understand the concept, you can answer the questions.

There was actually one new question about which commands are required for GRE configuration. I can not remember the question and answers, hope someone else can.

Guys, I passed the exam! :) -> 8XX / 55 Questions

3 SIMS -> PBR, OSPF Redistribute, EIGRP evaluation

DND -> authentication authorization accounting, AAA Features, IPV6 traffic filter vs IPv6 access clases, CoPP and MPP, NAT64 (Stateful/Stateless), AAA Accounting (with auth-proxy-id, exec, etc)

Normal questions -> 85% covered on digitaltut premium so please is important to study the content!!

Guys, the exam was quite simple and all questions were from here. PBR, OSPF/ EIGRP , redistribution and OSPF Sim. Also D&Ds. Now can someone advise: can one be penalised for correcting a config error on a sim. When i was answering the one for redistribution, i noticed the following line “redistribute eigrp 100 metric-type 1 subnets” appear as “redistribute eigrp 100 subnets metric-type”. Thats under the show run. I simply tried to no what i though was not correct and put the correct line. But when i checked, it was back to “redistribute eigrp 100 subnets metric-type 1”. I then just left it like that and tested successfully. I answered all the questions and was sure would get over 900. To my shock, the results came out as 74x.. I am still in shock and have even raised a support ticket to complain

The results of “show run” command as you described are in fact not an error. I noticed the same thing myself during the exam. But it is normal behavior.

@Jaqualine, all the questions from digitaltut apart from 5 or 6 new questions. But i suspect some answers here are not correct. For example this sim:

Even the serial 1/1 option with Hello 10, Dead 40 and Wait Interval 40 seems correct also though here they always opt for the timers relating to serial 1/0 (30, 120 , 120). Could some one explain why that preference??
@Anonymous, do you think Cisco can penalize me for trying to correct what I thought was an error when i viewed the :show run”. I finished an hour ahead of time knowing too well that i had passed and that it was just a matter of by what margin. I got the shock of my life!!!

@MT, i had only 24 hours to prepare for the exam. I had been preparing but stopped weeks ago. I had no choice but to write because could not reschedule. I mostly used practice questions from here and a few books here and there plus videos

How does an IOS router process a packet that should be switched by Cisco Express Forwarding without an FIB entry?
A. by forwarding the packet
B. by dropping the packet
C. by creating a new FIB entry for the packet
D. by looking in the routing table for an alternate FIB entry

Tut says B but it should actually be C. If no FIB entry is found the packet is “hunted”, meaning it is process switched and a new FIB entry will in the end be created. What is your opinion guys?

What is the advertised distance for the 192.168.46.0 network on R1?

I am confuse in answer of this question , question ask that what is advertised distance for 192.168.46.0 means distance that R1 advertised to other router in that case 1810944 is right answer. we can see it in routing table of R1.

So some one help me in this. 333056 is might be advertised distance of R2 or R3.

Tut says A,B but this is wrong. There is no such thing as “distribution layer” in a WAN, it is found in a Campus or a datacenter but not in a WAN. The right answer is A and E.

Just passed route exam with 800+ marks.
I only studied from TUT June Dumps and TU’s GNS lab
had 55 questions, all from TUT dumps. 4-5 D&D mostly AAA related. OSPF evalutaion Sim, OSPF redistribution LAB and Policy based routing lab.

I passed today with score 8XX though I am disappointed in my performance. Thought I would do better. I got 3 labs: PBR, EIGRP-OSPF redistribution and OSPF SIM. Apart from about 5 new questions, all questions are in this site. There were so many D&Ds (about 8), luckily I learnt them all and it was easy.

My advise is to read in the following order of importance:

1. MPQs
2. NUQs 5 & 6
3. Older questions.

Learn your D&Ds very thoroughly. I think Cisco is trying everything to be unpredictable these days.

If you have the time and capacity read everything you can on this site and study to understand why the answers, because I saw myself forgetting most of the answers and had to depend on my understanding of the subjects and work experience to navigate the questions.

Hope I didn’t forget anything. Special thanks to DigitalTut.
