Which difference idn the packet fragmentation feature between IPv4 and IPv6 is true?

There is no fragmentation in IPv6 because it uses Path MTU Discovery in order to find the smallest packet size to the destination.

Which LAN features enable a default gateway to inform it’s end devices when a better path to a destination is available?

    ICMP redirect

The track objects in IP SLA and make sure that it is only up if all track objects are up, which method achieves that goal?

    A. AND
    B. OR
    C. XOR

    Hello all!
I took the exam the exam today. Passed with really good score 9xx.
Thanks digitaltut. I think all their database are dependable as I used 9tut and certprepare for my previous exams and all passed. I used CBT Nuggets as my foundation for concepts then all digitaltut.
-A lot of DnDs came out, but 2 from old dumps Im pretty sure. One regarding auth-prox
-PBR with a different IP on the next-hop.
-EIGRP-OSPF redistribute case 2. The scenario was reworded as path going to shortest path with the highest bandwidth available, so case 2.
-OSPF Evaluation- did cdp neighbor as the topology is inconsistent on where R3 connects to R1 and R2.
-All sims cannot save running-config, just proceed after testing each.
-MPQs are about 60-70%, Composite about 30%..
-probably just 2 or 3 new multiple choice questions. One I can remember is router PCA and PCB with different MTUs in the path so best answer for me is setup PMTUD.

In summary, this website is more than enough to pass and ignore people offering dumps for a fee. I would recommend Premium membership though, but 15$ is all worth it and a month is more than enough time to prepare, considering you have covered all the concepts prior to joining premium.

I will post more as I remember other questions. Good luck Route takers. Shooting for Tshoot right away

    Hello,
Passed today with score 9xx , I used digitaltut and gns3 .Dumps is not a good way to build a skills

I found also https : // ciscocollege .blog spot .com/ is worth it to check they offer the books of réné how to master CCNP route for 10$.

@haty. Is that the pdf file? I did not actually used that. But browsed through it and it seems a compilation of Most Popular Questions and NUQ 5 and 6. I tried to cover all in premium

    May 19th, 2019

    @Macking,
All together how many Labs u got?
    Did u have enough time?
Was Auth-proxy only a part of the DnD or entire DnD about Auth-proxy?
I am preparing with Route_apr_2018.pdf only! Any suggestions?

  27. Buddy
    May 19th, 2019

    @Macking
I have an question to your conment to the ospf evaluation sim

-OSPF Evaluation- did cdp neighbor as the topology is inconsistent on where R3 connects to R1 and R2

What did you mean with “did cdp neighbor”?

  28. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

@Saji, auth proxy part as part of the whole DnD, there were like 6 items in that DnD. I have seen it somewhere on the old questions or somebody had posted it. I think that wasnt too hard to answer though.
@Buddy, I did show cdp neighbor I mean and show ip ospf interface just to verify the correct network id of the ptp neighbor. The topology will trick you. I even comment to Cisco about it during the exam. Maybe its their way to challenge if we really know the basic concepts

  29. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

@Saji, did you say 2018? it would really depend on how you grasp the concepts on each topics. I think it does not matter as the trend looks like more old questions are being juggled to the entire database of questions. The advantage of premium membership in my opinion are the flash base quizzes where questions are repeated. 90% of the questions are exactly the same here. Some maybe reworded.

  30. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

@Macking thanks for your feedback! Did you ping and telnet test address of 172.16.100.1 on EIGRP OSPF Redistribution Sim? Did you use port numbers or just ‘ping 172.16.100.1’ and ‘telnet 172.16.100.1’?

  31. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

moreover, how to get interface numbers? Did you have to check ‘show running-config’ on each router to check intefaces connected to them or were they visible on the LAB’s graph? The same with IP addresses, how to get them? thanks

  32. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

and just to be 100% sure for question on OSPF Evaluation Simulator LAB – The OSPF timer values of R2-R3 link are 30, 120, 120 in question about which statements are correct when checking the serial links connected to R3, right?

  33. Buddy
    May 19th, 2019

    @Macking
Many thx for your fast reply.

Did you have any DnD which was pointed to OSPF LSA types?

  34. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

@Peter, telnet is not required and would not work. Ping was required. Traceroute is the best way to check if it is using the optimal path / best bandwidth. If you have 3 hops which are R2-R3-R4 router ID, then you are good to go. Keep in mind, that is for scenario 2. for scenario 1 (without the distance eigrp 90 105) only 2 hops, R2-R4.
For the ospf evaluation, there is NO answer from the choices with those numbers. I think there is one choice saying *the R2-R3 link should be 10,40,40. Again, if you do show ip ospf interface, you will see if the link is PtP, or NON-broadcast, then there will your answer will come from.

  35. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

@Buddy, not a problem, just returning the favor when I was cramming in review before the exam too. There were no OSPF LSA types as far as I can remember, thank goodness I get confused with those.

  36. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

@Macking thanks for quick response mate. But I am confused now.. I thought that question:

Check the serial links connected to R3. Which statements are correct?

    A. The neighbor command must be used on R1-R3 link to keep the adjacency up
    B. The OSPF timer values of R2-R3 link are 30, 120, 120
    C. The OSPF timer values of R1-R3 link should be 10,40,40
    D. R3 must flood LSUs to all the routers on the network.

is answer B (after checking ‘show ip ospf interface serial 1/0 on R3). Isn’t it valid anymore?

Also this one. For clarification if A or D. Thank you.

What happens when unicast flood protection is triggered on a VLAN?
    A. The VLAN is shut down
    B. Traffic on the VLAN is load-balanced across multiple links
C The VLAN is removed from the VLAN database
    D. Traffic on the VLAN is passed to another VLAN with lower load

Guys, coming back to OSPF EVAL Sim. I am getting more and more confused. What is the correct answer for Question2 where we need to heck the serial links connected to R3. Do the answers remain the same and correct is “The OSPF timer values of R2-R3 link are 30, 120, 120” or the answer depends on the R3’s interfaces settings (P2P or Non Broadcast)? Appreciate your support on that

  41. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

Hey Peter, in my exam, choices B and C are swapped, R1-R3 timers are 30,120,120 and R2-R3 saying should be 10,40,40. Again that is the reason for you to check ip ospf interfaces at R3 side and write down the correct information on the the serial interfaces. I answered R2-R3 should be 10,40,40 just because the interface type on the link is broadcast or ptp. I really cant remember. Who knows I may interpret it wrong but the choices as I said were not the same.

  42. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

On broadcast and point to point default timers are 10,40,40
    On nbma default are 30,120,120
Sorry for confusing you pal. I myself got confuse with the choices

  43. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

@Macking – man, thanks for your support. I will check that by ‘show ip ospf interface’ on R3 and see what kind of interface types there are. I didn’t expect any surprises on that but thanks you your comments I realized that question might be confused… if anyone else had or will have that case on the exam, a feedback is really appreciated! thanks

  44. Macking
    May 19th, 2019

No problem man. And don’t stress yourself on this single question too, there are 2 or 3 other just in the evaluation and you get points on those. and 54 other items waiting.
I might be wrong on my answer too because i realize suddenly I did not check on R2 nor R1’s side if the timers are matching to R3 interfaces.

Oh well, just have fun learning if this is your passion. Just take all information at your own pace and take your time. Good luck!

  45. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

@Macking, thanks again man! I will take my exam soon, I am premium member checking EVERY SINGLE question – really :D. All Quzzies with the old questions, MPQ, D&D, new updates questions and so on… I just want to be prepared enough to pass

  46. Peter
    May 19th, 2019

@Macking, one more question (sorry for my spam, I am just getting more and more stressful). I swa that you are Premium Member too – did you recognize many new questions? If any? Do you think Premium Digitaltut is enough to pass?

    NEW CCNP ROUTE Q

BGP load balancing – how many path use by default?

PC-A to PC-B topology with multiple switches/routers in between, each link with different MTU values. Question was what to implement in order to have PC-A to PC-B reachability, I chose PMTUD

    1. What are two differences between SNMP traps and SNMP informs ( Choose Two)
    A. Only Informs provide a confirmation of receipt
    B. Traps are more reliable than Informs because they generate PDU s from the network Manager
    C. Only Informs are discarded after delivery
    D. Only traps are discarded after delivery
    E. Informs are more reliable than Traps because they require TCP three-way handshake.
    Suggested answer A,D https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/snmp/configuration/12-4t/snmp-12-4t-book/nm-snmp-cfg-snmp-support.html

A network engineer wants to notify a manager in the events that the IP SLA connection loss threshold reached. Which two feature are need to implements this functionality? (choose two)
    A. MOS
    B. Threshold action
    C. Cisco IOS EEM
    D. SNMP traps
    E. logging local

3-When does a Cisco router send an ICMP redirect?(take care here ingress and egress interface are different not as the dump)
    A. when the source and destination in the same subnet
    B. when the packet is source-routed
    C. when the packet`s destination has load-balanced entries in the route table
    D. when the packet`s ingress and egress interface are different

A cf Cisco routers send ICMP redirects when all of these conditions are met:

The interface on which the packet comes into the router is the same interface on which the packet gets routed out.

The subnet or network of the source IP address is on the same subnet or network of the next-hop IP address of the routed packet.

    The datagram is not source-routed.

The kernel is configured to send redirects. (By default, Cisco routers send ICMP redirects. The interface subcommand no ip redirects can be used to disable ICMP redirects.)

    3. Another question was which protocol sort out of order packet at the receiving end. Obviously TCP.

A router in an EVN environment is choosing a route. Which value is given the highest selection priority ?

    A. IGP administrative distance of the route.
    B. Replication status of the route
    C. Vnet tag of the route
    D. Default administrative distance of a route
    E. Lexical value of the source VRF name

@Peter, i would like to say yes, more than enough to pass. As long as you did not only memorize the answers and can adjust when cisco reword any question. I did the same, covered all questions many times in premium membership. Only 2-3 questions came out I remember that I did not see from here. My score was really good, expected close to perfect score but I think some answers here needs to be revisited. Or cisco just want to make it look hard. Lol.
Again, don’t be stressed, you’ll be fine.
