BR was exactly the same, I used access-list 101 permit TCP any any eq www. I noticed of reports it not working when using 80. As I said I checked before generating traffic and it showed 0 packets. Generated and counted that it sent 9 then it will tell you sends 9, check the route map and seen 9. Now I also seen you say you are using the 15 composite quizzes. STOP IMMEDIATELY as they are not 100% correct. Use the section quizes instead.

When checking the ospf eval lab on the exam the timers actually dont match on here. Make sure you are checking in the direction the answer says. If you only check on R3 on the exam you will notice B and C (real exam shows R1-R3 for C) are correct. For R1-R3 you need to check on R1. For R2-R3 you need to check on R2. I will explain again. R3 interface timers pointing back to R1 and R2 will match for both answer B and C. I checked and neighbors are in full state which is impossible.

Please review the ipv6 section in MPQ and under 300-101 you will be fine they are the same.

Sorry but not quite sure what you mean with your explanation reference the OSPF Eval Sim…..

Correct me if I’m wrong but from R3’s perspective, it will have two adjacencies (if the topology is the same in the exam), one to R1 and one to R2.
My approach was to run a ‘sh ip ospf interface’ from R3 which would give you both connected serial interfaces to R1 and R2. The interfaces timers which match one of the answers would surely be the correct answer?

I checked timers on R1 seriel link to R3, R2 serial link to R3, and R3 serial link to R1 and R2. Then I checked if neighbors were full and they are. The timers did not match between any links. Hello packet sends the timers to even start to exchange info. I would just use your best discretion and check everything as the test have potential to be different configs.

Can I just confirm whether if BGP is a big part of CCNP Route. I understand it makes up approximately 200 pages on the official book, but from my understand there aren’t many questions on this particular topic. Feedback would be appreciated.

@ Abuga- Yes ,it is a small topic on the Layer 3 technologies for the CCNP-Route . But for you, if you are intending to follow the CCIE Routing and Switching ,it is a big topic. So I would suggest you study it according to the Route blueprint , and you will expand further when you do the CCIE .So it is just a prep for the CCIE – both the written and the Lab. Hoping this helps…

Scolari – Thanks a lot, that was a huge relief. Because the BGP part of the book is really complex and huge. This makes it all the more easier to study the CCNP route now, as I can now focus on the previous chapters of the book :-)

Passed my CCNP Route today

Lots of DNDs, especially regarding Radius and Tacacs+
PBR, EIGRP OSPF Redistribute (Case 2), OSPF Eval

Several new questions I haven’t seen before e.g

1. What hop count dows RIP use to advertise an unreachable route when RIP is configured with Poison Reverse

My advise to those preparing to write. Please and please, try to study the old dumps. They brought alot of questions from the old dumps (I personally studied the old nnetworking dumps and got over half of the questions from there) don’t just study the new MPQs, NUQs, etc. Else you’ll come back crying wolf.

For the PBR, please be sure to check the ip address of the Frame Relay Gateway, it was flipped in my case.

Also, please try to pay for Premium membership (best use of $15), and try to study and understand all the quizzes (coz they contain most of the old questions, which I saw today).

For who have at the exam the eigrp-ospf redistribution simm . The enounce in this site is “The network requirements state that you must be able to ping and telnet from loopback 101 on R1 to the OPSF domain test address of 172.16.1.100” .
The verification is enough on R1 with “ping 172.16.1.100” or “ping 172.16.1.100 source loopback 101” . With the telnet at the same request . Is needed suplimantary show ip route on R1 to see if exist 172.16.1.100? I shure is neccesary a ok verification, even if config is ok , for maxim points.
How did you do it ? Thanks in advance .

The PBR question is nothing to worry about. Just be sure to look carefully at the interface IP address of the Frame Relay Gateway. In the Labs here, the Frame relay IP is 10.1.101.1 and the Mpls link IP is 10.1.100.1, but in the exam, it is flipped. The Frame relay was 10.1.100.1 and the mpls was 10.1.101.1. So u just have to be careful to spot the IP address while doing your configurations.

Please stop advicing people to stop using the Composite quizzes. Those really helped me alot, because they contain really old questions. Instead, i’ll advise everyone to take them and be sure to verify the answers so as to be double sure.
To my surprise, i had over 50% of those old questions in the quizzes in my exam and I was glad I painstakingly practiced them
