OSPF will trigger updates if there is a change; it will also refresh LSA’s every 30 minutes if there have been no changes.
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/iproute_ospf/configuration/xe-16/iro-xe-16-book/iro-cfg.html
Also, 224.0.0.6 is all OSPF DR’s. 224.0.0.5 is all OSPF routers.
@hp-667y
The ipv4 virtual-link lab is exactly the same topology as ipv6 virtual-link lab – different router names and only ipv4 ip addresses. One area is not connected to area 0 so virtual-links are required to provide connectivity
The hardest part is the last bit where they ask you to ensure the the router you just applied the virtual-link on is not receiving any inter-area or external routes
On to CCNP-SWITCH :)
how did you solve that? You cant use a stub area on a virtual link.
did you configure a route map?
@Destroyer
are you sure that it was new or is it this lab:

I just passed the CCIE exam last week. I bought the topic here. The topic is true and effective. I have practiced most of the exam questions, but you have to remember the answer. You can’t just remember it. The options, I have encountered several questions in it, the options for the correct answer have been changed.
Any news on the new lab?
@Sancho & LJ
I dont know what i did was correct but you will have 3 routers on different areas. Like Sancho said you cannot configure STUB with virtual-links on the transit area but you can configure stub command for the non-transit area for example from left to right if areas were:
Area 30 (R3) – Area 11 (R2) – Area 0 (R1)
Then you configure the virtual-links on Area 11 and configure the stub no-summary ( inter-area & external area excluded ) on R3 AREA 30 – the non-transit area
They also ask you to ensure that you have configured ospf process id as 20 ( this value might change ) on all routers and confirm ping connectivity after configuring the /30 links using 0.0.0.3 mask ( ip addresses may change )
Like i said i am not sure if this is correct so someone will have to verify but the above is what i did and it looked like it worked.

A. EIGRP
B. OSPF
C. BGb
different answers in different dump
which protocol use both best path and second best path for traffic??
A. EIGRP
B. OSPF
C. BGP
Correct Answer C
Which two causes of latency are true? (Choose two)
A. High bandwidth on a link
B. Split horizon
C. Propagation delay
D. Serialization delay
E. Under-utilizaion of a link
Answer should be A and C
Because the there is high bandwidth on a link it always causes slowness/latency/Packet loss. See that on daily basis. Never seen under utilized link cause latency but Cisco is always tricky they might have different explanation.

route dump
https :// drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mNECPPdUANPrx9u0QOIheDgSQFQL-stY
For @Destroyer’s OSPF Sim:
If we don’t want the router to receive external routes, we have to stop LSA Type 5. And if we don’t want to receive inter-area routes, we have to stop LSA Type 3 and Type 4. Therefore we have to configure area 1 as a totally stubby area. (Stub no-summary)
Destroyers never seens im sounds like that sim:

1. type command in google image and see result
2. D, ff08::/16 ff08::/16 well known organization local
3 “new customer link” – I believe ripng is already enabled on router.
4. IMO route course = routing loop
5. type commands in google image
6. explained above
7. “smallest packet than will always be fragmented ” – smallest but will be fragmented. Check how big is ethernet frame.
8. Try to lab …
Just passed now with 966
All questions came from 195q and 3 labs from here.
Thanks
@ worried
which labs came from here?
Hi Fellas,
I just passed the 300-101 exam 922/1000.
nneettwwoorrkkiinngg dumps are valid.
Labs:
– EIGRP Stub SIM
– IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link SIM
– EIGRP OSPF Redistribution Sim
– OSPF SIM – virtual Link configuration.
Good luck
@ greg
thanks for your reply
@network en
1 – c – 100%
2 – d – 100%
3 – c – 50% (as it says on a LINK) you can enable it with “R1(config)#ipv6 router rip RIPNGTEST” or also without the previous “on the interface/link?) with “R1(config-if)#ipv6 rip RIPNGTEST enable”
4 – a – (99%)
5 – CE – (99%)
6 – A&D – When you see a “totally” means no summary. Types three (summary) LSA will be from an ABR. so you have stub and not-so-stubby-area
7 – B (300 header + 1500)
8 – A (need to set the encapsulation type with R1(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay)
I have my exam Friday, could anyone please tell me:
I see everyone is saying the different LAB sims they were asked in the exam, BUT are the SIMLET type questions still in the exam? where you have to answer serveral multichoice questions after running commands in a lab?
There were EIGRP and OSPF mentioned a few months back?
Thanks!
hi @original_zomby congrtas!!
respect to – OSPF SIM – virtual Link configuration this is https://www.digitaltut.com/route-ospf-sim or https://www.digitaltut.com/route-ipv6-ospf-virtual-link-sim ??
I tried multiple audio lectures including video lectures for the preparation of 300-101 certification exam but that all was in trivial. Then I found ROUTE 300-101 PDF guide on braindumpscerts.com with these practice questions, I passed the 300-101 exam. The best benefit is a 100 % success rate. I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to pass the 300-101 exam on the first try. Good luck everyone
@NEED HELP QUICK
Simlets are also called Evaluation, since you evaluate the Network.
And yes the Standard Labs and the Simlets can be in the Exam, it completely random which lab or simlet will come up sometimes you get no simlet sometimes you get both (EIGRP and OSPF).
Just learn all labs which you can find on this site.
@Destroyer
Well done mate! Congrats.
Could I please ask, is this correct regarding the brand new “IPV4 Virtual Link / Stub Sim”?
1 – Configure a virtual link over the transit area (was area 11)
2 – Remove any old bad config (e.g. virtual link put in wrong place?)
3 – Configure OSPF process ID x on all routers
4 – Configure OSPF on the network links with network command “x.x.x.x 0.0.0.3 area X”
5 – Test connectivity with a ping
6 – Block all inter area and external routes – This is done on R3 /Area 30 with stub no-summary)
Anything to add?
@Alex
Looks like its a new sim which is a mixture of both you mentioned :)
I had 3 sims which were ospf sim, eigrp sim and ospf and eigrp redistribution.
All labs same as here but just different IPs and they mentioned the ospf process for the ospf sim.
All other questions same as 195q
@Worried
Thanks and congrats!
For the OSPF sim, do you have to configure OSPF on them from scratch? in the digitaltut gns3 sim OSPF is already setup and it just says:
Your task is to configure the following:
Portland’s S0/0 interface in Area 1
Amani’s S0/1 interface in Area 1
If it is telling you which process to use, surely there cant be OSPF setup when you start?
Would like to get the complete new sim setup in lab any exact topology and questions(what needs to be done)
please:

Section: Networking – Valid-September
It think the answer for this question is DEF
from table 2 in this link:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/ios-nx-os-software/enterprise-ipv6-solution/white_paper_c11-676278.html
B may refer to STATELESS NAT64
@Domino
Good work! Completely agree.
I have to attempt the watchguard Firebox Essential Exam is there any body who guide me regarding any website or blog and forums for dumps and discussion . just like this forum
This one keeps getting asked, and everyone always ends up with EIGRP.
Q555. which protocol use both best path and second best path for traffic??
a. EIGRP b.OSPF c.BGP d.RIP
Marked answer A EIGRP
I think it could be BGP…
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6774
The best-path (main) reflector plane distributes the best path for each route as it does today. The second plane distributes the second best path for each route, and so on.
@Domino
thanks for you reference , DEF completely true .
