Hello , i am getting confused for the GRE IPSEC with OSPF routing.

Which interface (tunnel or physique interface) network needs to be in the router ospf config?

Q340/341 in network dumps it think there is also a misconfig in the router ospf network address , where the tunnel interface adress is missing

From my understanding it is the tunnel interface IP that need to be routed into OSPF and not the actual physical interface.

Path MTU Discovery (PMTUD)
For IPv4 packets, Path MTU Discovery works by setting the Don’t Fragment (DF) flag bit in the IP headers of outgoing packets. Then, any device along the path whose MTU is smaller than the packet will drop it, and send back an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Fragmentation Needed (Type 3, Code 4) message containing its MTU, allowing the source host to reduce its Path MTU appropriately. The process is repeated until the MTU is small enough to traverse the entire path without fragmentation. (Note: PMTUD is easily broken by an ICMP filter in front of the source device)

Guys! I am having a hard time to decide. I need your advise. I failed 300-101 yesterday and i found out that I can only retake it on Sept. 5, which sucks cuz on my result paper it was indicated I can retake by Sept 4. Which happens to be the expiration date of my CCNA Cert. 😢 So, I’m torn between taking CCNP 300-115 on Sept 4 hoping to pass, I will only have 3 days to prepare or just retake my CCNP 300-101 on a later date (Sept 5) given my CCNA is expired? thanks

@anyonymous that is EXACTLY what happened to me last year. I failed 300-101 3 days before my CCNA expired. I ended up retaking CCNA exam to renew cert. I did it that way because if you let the CCNA expire you have to recert before trying 300-101 again

Thanks for your response. I was thinking to just re-take CCNP 300-101 this Sept. and just let my CCNA expire. Then maybe next year I can take exam for CCNA again to re-certify.. Will that be okay?
