    Q142
Which three NTP features can be deduced on the router? (choose three)
    A. only accepts time requests from 192.168.1.1
    B. only handle four requests at a time
    C. only is in stratum 4
    D. only updates its time from 192.168.1.1
    E. only accepts time requests from 192.168.1.4
    F. only updates its time from 192.168.1.4
    Ans: A,C,F

    1) Peer – permits router to respond to NTP requests and accept NTP updates. NTP control queries are also accepted. This is the only class which allows a router to be synchronized by other devices.
    2) Serve – permits router to reply to NTP requests, but rejects NTP updates (e.g. replies from a server or update packets from a peer). Control queries are also permitted.

    @Nassir
When unicast reverse path forwarding is configured on inter interface?
A.it check the ingress access list
B.it check the egress access list
C.Route available in FIB ot it verifies a reverse path via the FIB to the source
D.it verify that the source has a valid VEF agency

    Correct Answer: C

When Unicast RPF is enabled on an interface, the router examines all packets received as input on that interface to make sure that the source address and source interface appear in the routing table and match the interface on which the packet was received. This “look backwards” ability is available only when Cisco express forwarding (CEF) is enabled on the router, because the lookup relies on the presence of the Forwarding Information Base (FIB).
CEF generates the FIB as part of its operation.

    @

    Q 318
R1 and R2 belong to the RIP routing domain that includes the networks 10.20.0.0/16 and 10.21.0.0/16.
R3 and R4 are performing two-way route redistribution between OSPF and RIP.
A network administrator has discovered that R2 is receiving OSPF routes for the networks 10.20.0.0/16 and 10.21.0.0/16 and a routing loop has occurred. Which action will correct this problem?

    A. Apply an inbound ACL to the R2 serial interface.
    B. Change the RIP administrative distance on R3 to 110.
    C. Configure distribute-lists on R3 and R4.
    D. Set the OSPF default metric to 20.
    E. Change the OSPF administrative distance on R3 to 110.

    Correct ans: D

With the following commands, OSPF routes will be redistributed into RIP. You must specify the default metric to designate the cost of the redistributed route in RIP updates. All routes redistributed into RIP will have this default metric.

    Please read:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/12_2/security/configuration/guide/fsecur_c/scfrpf.pdf

Are you certain of your answer?
I think correct answer: A.it check the ingress access list

    @ Nassir
    pardon,
When unicast reverse path forwarding is configured on inter interface?
A.it check the ingress access list
B.it check the egress access list
C.Route available in FIB ot it verifies a reverse path via the FIB to the source
D.it verify that the source has a valid VEF agency

Correct Answer: A because ACLs have been configured

When a packet is received at the interface where Unicast RPF and ACLs have been configured, the following actions occur:

Step 1 Input ACLs configured on the inbound interface are checked.

Step 2 Unicast RPF checks to see if the packet has arrived on the best return path to the source, which it does by doing a reverse lookup in the FIB table.

Step 3 CEF table (FIB) lookup is carried out for packet forwarding.

Step 4 Output ACLs are checked on the outbound interface.

Step 5 The packet is forwarded.
