Hi Guys,
i have a quick question about the Labs in the exam about EIRGP Stub or others.
i checked abouve Fourm lots of issues in the exams i also had same expericened last week.
If anybody already passed exam and successfully done labs/new Questions please share experience or exact detail of command and what was the exact command for ip summary to write(I applied this in the exam but it didn’t summarize the routes into one. As @crowbar said)
it would really be a great help to CCNP route exam pass.
Thanks
At all who had issues summarizing in the EIGRP SIM in the exam, did you use the same command on this site and it didn’t work or you used a totally different command to summarize.
What are the two benefits of BGP peer groups?
a. support groups of paths
b. A configuration change can be applied simultaneously to all peers in the peer group
c. optimize backdoor routes
d. updated via multicast
e. each neighbour in a peer group can have different inbound BGP Policies
f. they use soft updates to minimize bandwidth consumption
B,E or B,F
Yes, “You can customize the inbound update policy for any member of a peer group”, BUT it’s asks about BENEFITS!
“The major benefit you achieve when you specify a BGP peer group is that a BGP peer group reduces the amount of system resources (CPU and memory) necessary in an update generation”–> soft updates (E)??
” In addition, a BGP peer group also simplifies the BGP configuration.” –> also B

I’m not sure about that..

i’ll go B and F

@tut-user….perhaps you applied summary on wrong interface ? do you happened to remember exact ip ? was it class A address ? in a EIGRP stub lab, you suppose to run “sh runn-config” to get ip’s first…..also if you sure that put all the config in 2 routers correctly? however, if you have done all above and still didn’t work, than am assuming it just because you had glitch in your lab!

Which three methods can a network engineer use to fix a metric based routing loop in the network.
a. Implement offset lists at network boundaries
b. Filter routes manually using distribute lists
c. Filter routes manually using prefix lists
d. Implement proper network summarisation on key routing points
e. Filter routes based on tags
f. Utilise root database filters
@Routeontheway – question is a bit vague, that is the reason no one knows the exact correct answer. As I understand it they mean loops caused by redistributing back the learned routes but now with better metric due to protocol preference, e.g. OSPF distributes to EIGRP some route, EIGRP learns it and then redistributes it back to OSPF as External EIGRP route , given that admin distance of OSPF is 110 and of EIGRP 90 the OSPF process will learn its own route as available via EIGRP causing the loop. The remedy here is to filter routes when redistributing, problem is that it can be done in many ways depending on the routing protocols, so to me a,b,c,e seem legit , but need to pick just 3…
Hi All, passed successfully, few tips:
– Are the dumps + labs enough to pass ? Yes, but by a very slim margin and heavily depends on luck, if you have no idea what the Frame Relay is, what are distances/metrics used in EIGRP/OSPF/Ripv2/Ripng , but just try and memorize all the dumps and labs – most probably you will fail, as Cisco throw 9-10 new questions weekly into the exam, most of them quite easy but again, easy if you know fundamentals. After all – 80% of the blueprint is old as the world – so Cisco can re-use thousands of questions from the last 10 years and no dump will ever be 100% correct. So my tip here – yes, use the dumps but more to validate your knowledge than pass the exam. I, for example, could answer about 70% of the questions in dumps not looking at the possible answers at all, and still haven’t got 1000/1000.
– Simulations. Do not try to just memorize commands, try to actually understand what those commands do. As exam have room for changes – interface names, IP addresses, subnet masks, and if you fail Sim(s) you fail exam. And yes, all the simulation here on digitaltut are valid, I’ve got Redistribution OSPF/EIGRP and OSPFv6 virtual-link one as everyone else.
– Copy run start. This option has been disabled for few years now! You either get error or “Not implemented” message when trying to save configs – no need, once finsihed just click Next.
– Valid dumps: Kikavich + 477 Questions + Kikavich DND. There are new DNDs – look for Mario comments here. As I said it will give you some 70-80% answers on the actual exam. Added new DND as Mario said for MPP/Frame Relay – to answer it know how to configure Frame Relay multipoint interface (something along config t -> interface serial0/0 -> encapsulation frame-relay -> no ip address -> interface Serial0/0.1 multipoint -> ip address -> something about frame-relay map.)
– On Sims always use the verification commands, Sims have bugs which may inadvertendly remove your configs etc – after you finished the configuration, verify the status, then click Next!
– Show run – I had it available on all Sims.
– Premium membership on digitaltut – actually I paid it to support the site, but haven’t used it (as opposed to TSHOOT – there you pretty much have to have the Premium for the tickets practice).
Thanks to all who shared the experience here and good luck to testers!
@aishah
Thanks and appreciated!
@Student A, Routeontheway
I think the correct answer for below question should be ACE in term of fixing metric of redistributed routes which could be related with route-map. Offset-list is to influence metric for distance vector routing protocol, while prefix-list/tag used in route-map. Although distributed-list can apply route-map (distributed-list route-map xxx) but it seem like not what the question need.
Which three methods can a network engineer use to fix a metric based routing loop in the network.
a. Implement offset lists at network boundaries
b. Filter routes manually using distribute lists
c. Filter routes manually using prefix lists

Hi Guys,
I been reading all your comments through this Forum, can someone please advise if “All in One Kikavich” link:https://www.dropbox.com/s/oqd7dept3tdg1vy/all%20in%20one.vce?dl=
Upload here is enough for passing CCNP route Exams, i finish reading the BOOK and Vidoes.
Please advise i have exam in 4 weeks time.
Thanks
John_Snow “Winter is coming”
@John_Snow 4 weeks its more than enough if u already studied the book and the videos
my advice is to try to cover All in One Kikavich and the new Qs in digitaltut
@ Aisha thanks for advise, just wanted to double check dont want surprises
If “All in One Kikavich” is valid enough and new Qs in digitaltut updates in this forum.
Thanks,
John_Snow “Winter is Coming”
can someone pls let me know the verification commands on EIGRP stub lab and how do we check if one link is preferable on to other..
would appreciate your reply.
@Routeontheway
On a router receiving the summarized network # show ip route should show already summed up without any other special distinction except external/from what is distributed if any.
What link is preferred can be seen I guess via #show ip eigrp topology all-links But this command is not implemented in this Sim so alternative is to do traceroute in both directions, this one does work in Sim and shows correct paths
hi guys , i passed the exam today with 94X.

thnx @StudentA
so #tracerouter 172.16.100.1 at R1
and hopefully above syntax will show the packet now going through R1> R2> R3> R4
correct ?
@Routeontheway – yep, I did trace from the leftmost router to rightmost-upper router before I used
(config)# router eigrp ..
(config-rtr)# distance 90 105
And after and it was different path.
Tip for all IPv6 related questions abou t summarization:
only one :: sequence can appear in an IPv6 address and no ::: or :::: etc at all.
