From digitaltut (old):
https://www.digitaltut.com/ospf-questions-9
“Explanation
When OSPF adjacency is formed, a router goes through several state changes before it becomes fully adjacent with its neighbor. The states are: Down, Attempt, Init, 2-Way, Exstart, Exchange, Loading, and Full.
Suppose two routers are just turned on and want to establish DR\BDR adjacency. Both are in DOWN state, each router sends a multicast Hello and moves to INIT state. After a router has both received a Hello and verified that all the required parameters agree, the router lists the other router’s RID in the Hello message as being seen. When a router receives a Hello that lists its own RID as having been seen by the other router, the router can transition to 2-Way state.

a. Implement offset lists at network boundaries
b. Filter routes manually using distribute lists
c. Filter routes manually using prefix lists
d. Implement proper network summarisation on key routing points
e. Filter routes based on tags
f. Utilise root database filters
answers are a, b and e…. prefix lists can not be used to filter rotes by itself, they can be used inside of distribution lists…
@doka
youare wrong about ospf Q , and the question also confusing
in lan network will found that dr/bdr reach 2way state with all other routers(brothers will be just neighbors for dr and bdr and not adjacency )
and the bdr and dr reach FULL state wchich called adjacency.
so because the Q has no choice as 2way ,the best anwser here is the EXstart state (where the ecection of dr and bdr happen)
dear ALL,
relax,
just passed the exam with 86x.
it was easy and all pdf ( Kikavich corrected + jazzy + prince ) file are still valid.
a lot of question was from the list i already sent (go back couple of pages back .
no new questions.
D&D
1- COPP MMP
2- AAA authorization
3- GRE feature
4- GRE configuration.
LAB
1- EIGRP stub
2- eigrp ospf redist
3- ospf ipv6
Wrong @doka
Remember, although HELLO pkt received at INIT but with no routers IDs.
so how could we talk about adjancy at this stage ?
For me, EXSTART is the correct one.
.
thanks you all and wish you all the best.
now iam taking CCDA,
any advice? :)
@DOKA
D. Loading State is the correct answer.
Congrates @Hallfawi!

I am doing the “all in one” and I’ve copied the question on p 148-152 to a file and have been doing them. Actually, I finished the book and INE courses, so I think passing won’t be a problem. Hope all goes well. Good luck with the CCDA my friend :)

MARIO PLS CAN U ANS THIS QUESTION
How to open VCE files in Windows? Please HELP
@Anonymous i chose A for that on the test.
for mpp/copp make sure that you have the following:
CoPP:
+ Deals with protection against DOS attacks
+ Uses QoS
+ Assists with packet forwarding by decreasing the load
*** keyword for copp is DOS, QOS and forwarding.. the rest you can add to MPP
for AAA
it has the following
accounting. — logging of access etc
authentication — user authentication
authorization. — don’t remember
tacacs — tcp
radius — udp
IPV6 security feature:
ipv6 traffic filtering — it filters traffic at teh interface level
— it supports tagged acls
ipv6 access classes — it controls traffic to and from the router
— it requires the destination address for inbound traffic to be a local address
— it filters management traffic
same labs, eigrp redistribute, ospf & eigrp stub
it’s been a fun journey here. i’m moving on to SWITCH now. i’ll try to come back here when i can. thanks everyone
Thanks @ Mario. All the best in your switch study and exam

thnx @Mario
Passed my switch last year….I will probably catch you somewhere in Tshoot, may b..have fun fella!
Passed my exam today. Thanks to everyone here for your help. There were a few more new questions about 7 i has never seen before on anywhere but lots from kikavich and 447 too .i had the eigrp ospf redistribution, eigrp stub and ospf sim labs. And thanks again Mario, for this. they were there too
