@ Lena3108, can you please confirm for Redistribution LAB, how to know when to use distance eigrp 90 100, do you use the command SHOW IP ROUTE and check the routing table in R2. Where must this command be performed in order to check the link R2 & R3.

How does a person see the connection between the 2 routers, whether it is serial or fast ethernet or gigabit?

Hope this doesnt sound like a dumb question, just hoping to clarify.

  13. CCNP_ALMOST
    November 17th, 2017

@The-buddy, a quick question. So we know now when to use the distance EIGRP 90 100 command in the redistribution lab. How do we check the links between R2-R3 routers. Do we show ip route on R2 and R3. Or show running-config?

  14. CCNP_ALMOST
    November 17th, 2017

@The-buddy, show CDP Neighbor could possibly show you the link between R2-R3

  15. Lena3108
    November 17th, 2017

yes the link between R2 R3 was a gigabit link. I used the distance eigrip 90 105

I saw one new question, which I didn’t see earler. And it was a lot of Multiple Choice Questions :(

  16. CCNP_ALMOST
    November 17th, 2017

So if I am on #R2, I type the command SHOW CDP NEIGHBOR, it shows the Device ID R3 and show the local interface…>This is where I check it?

  17. Lena3108
    November 17th, 2017

show cdp neibor dosnt work, but the description on show run was very good.

    November 17th, 2017

    @Lena3108
    C 192.168.3.0/24 is directly connected, Serial0/0

This is what I get under SHOW IP ROUTE

    When I SHOW RUNNING-CONFIG

I dont see where R3 is connected via

  19. CCNP_ALMOST
    November 17th, 2017

This is all using GNS3 obviously have not written actual exam so maybe output in exam when using SHOW RUN could be different

  20. CCNP_ALMOST
    November 17th, 2017

Should you use for instance the command R3(config)#router ospf 34, or just stay with OSPF 1 irrespective of the area. I tried GNS3 using different areas other than 1 but the routing did not work. Could not ping the 172.16.X.X address

As for the questions are the same.
The DnD are the same, I toem 5: Frame relay (DLCI, FECN, PVC, etc.), NAT64-NPTV6, AAA, Ipv6 traffic filtering / IPV6 access classes, Strict / Loose Mode
The laboratories are the same: OSPF EVAL, EIGRP EVAL, OSPF SIM, EIGRP SIM, PBR, OSPF-EIGRP REDISTR – just pay attention to IP, AS, process ID as they change.

    Good luck to you all.

Hello everybody, Today successfully passed the exam.

    Lab Sim: OSPF / EIGRP
Sim: Redistribution / PBR / OSPF configuration
DnD: IPv6 / AAA / Frame Relay / Another one, dont remember

Questions: Still valid the “It´s me” version 2, but please keep in mind that there are some questions that dont have the right answers on that VCE (yes I know, no more than 10). My advice, please study and be ready for the questions and the reason for the answers.

Please keep in mind that there are some new questions (the same that were discussed here recently), in my exam, I guess 6 or 8 new questions.

Keep study and best wishes for your exams. Thanks to all you that contribute with this forum.

Guys, that have passed exam already, in the PBR Distribution LAB, say we have different areas like in the simulation here on the site, AREA 24 and AREA 34. Do we still need to use the ROUTER OSPF 1 command or should we use those numbers instead, ROUTER OSPF 24 on R2 and ROUTER OSPF 34 on R3?

@Your-buddy, can you please explain in detail about the OSPF Stub Lab… Did you use the 0.0.0.3 wildmask, did you also get a /30 ip?

Also with PBR, how to obtain next hop ip? Did you use SHOW IP CEF command?

@Your-buddy or anyone else that has done exam, in OSPF STUB SIMULATION, is there anything needed to be done after configuration has been completed. Where should we PING to test config?

  45. swalmeh
    November 18th, 2017

@CCNP-SOON .you have to do a simple test .
just ping 10.239.239.239 from router (Portland)

    hope that make sense.

  46. Your-buddy
    November 18th, 2017

@Ccnp-soon The question was as bellow.

    Port. Area47. Amani. Chicago
    ®s0/0————————–s0/1®—————————-®
    192.168.5.5/30——–192.168.5.6/30. Lopb:(can’treme)

-The question was to configure ospf 31 on router Portland and use specific mask.
    – area 47 must not receive lsu 3 and external routes which means it should be totally stubby area.

    Solution
    Portland router#router ospf 31
    Portland router# network 192.168.5.4 0.0.0.3 area 47
Portland router # area 47 stub

Amani router # router ospf 31
    Amani router # network 192.168.5.4 0.0.03 area 47
    Amani router # area 47 stub no-summary

Make sure you ping Chicago loopback From Portland router to test.

In regards to your other question.
The next hop ip is clearly shown on the topology on the cloud Side. in my case it was 172.2.x.x so you need not to execute any command to find it just look properly.

You also have a test machine to test the HTTP traffic so you launch that machine which has a tab that says generate HTTPtraffic and it will do it for you. It will show you 9 packets/astricks. Then you go to the router and check the router map by issuing show route-map. It will show you 9 matches if you configured correctly.
This is how I configured this lab
Router# access-list 101 permit tcp any any eq wwww
    Router# route-map prb permit 10
Router # match ip address 101
    Router # set ip next-hop 172.2.x.x
    Router# interface (facing the client)
Router # IP policy route-map prb

Then test by generating the HTTP traffic

Hope that helps and good luck

  47. Your-buddy
    November 18th, 2017

@Ccnp-soon the issue with that is because Portland router can’t ping Chicago loop back so once you have configured the lab then you test by pinging it

    Good luck

  48. CCNP_SOON
    November 18th, 2017

@Your-buddy, thank you so much for your explanation!!! all very clear now! one last thing, the Redistribution, was in OSPF 1 or something else. I have seen places in dump files where it is 34 and 24 respectively, however when I try these labs it never works, only works when I use the same number on both routers. Are the numbers different, or are they the same?

  49. Joe
    November 18th, 2017

    @Your-buddy

    What the 0.0.0.3 mean?

  50. swalmeh
    November 18th, 2017

    @Jos
    it means the wildcard mask.
the inverse of the subnet mask as they called it
