Asymmetric Routing Support in Active Active Mode

In general, avoid asymmetric routing in a firewall design solution. The ASR feature is purely to protect issues such as link failovers. Note that even though state is shared between the Active and Standby firewalls periodically, it is possible to have race conditions, which could cause connections to be dropped.

There was not a single simlet or practical exercise in the whole exam. It was 97% multiple choice, the rest being drag and drop type stuff. Just over 100 questions, but again, multiple choice.

You can see where my problem is. I didn’t get too into the EEM applet stuff because I thought, “Eh, there might be one question on it.” Boy, I was mistaken.

I felt like the test was going pretty well for the most part though and can honestly say that I was surprised I didn’t pass.

Besides that, I feel like the OCG does address basically everything that was on the exam. I’m confident that if I had a few more days to study, I would have passed it. Which is exactly what I plan to do! I’ll probably be taking it on March 2nd after some explicit studying of network assurance.

I’m going to bed soon, but let me know if you have any questions. I’ll answer them as soon as I can.

Edit: Despite my testing center printout saying that I can retest on March 2nd, Pearson VUE’s site and customer support say that I can’t for 15 days because it’s CCIE level exam.
